How to work out which service you need
Most people call about carpet and end up needing two things, because soft surfaces in a house wear together. If the carpet in a family room has gone flat, the sofa in the same room has almost certainly taken the same body oil and the same foot traffic, and cleaning one while ignoring the other leaves the room looking half done. The reverse is also true: an upholstery job in a house with a pet is rarely just upholstery. When you call, describe the room rather than the item, and we will tell you what is worth doing and what is not.
Cleaning, repair and restoration are different trades
Cleaning removes soil. Repair fixes structure — ripples, seams, burns, a worn stair nose. Restoration deals with damage from water or contamination that has gone below the surface. Companies that offer all three do so with different equipment and different training, and the failure mode we see most often is a cleaner attempting a repair problem with a cleaning process. A rippled carpet does not need a deeper clean; it needs a power stretcher. A carpet with urine in the pad does not need a stronger deodorizer; it needs sub-surface extraction or new pad. Knowing which category your problem sits in saves money.
What every one of these services has in common
Whatever we are cleaning, the sequence is the same: identify the material before choosing a product, remove dry soil mechanically before introducing any moisture, apply chemistry matched to the fiber with proper dwell time, extract under heat and high vacuum, rinse to neutral so nothing sticky is left behind, and manage drying rather than walking away. That sequence is why a wool rug and a polyester sofa get handled so differently at step three while looking similar at steps one and six. It is also why we ask what a thing is made of before we quote it.
Pricing across all services
Carpet and upholstery are priced per room and per seat. Rugs and hard surfaces are priced per square foot. Repairs are priced per job. Commercial work is priced per square foot with the rate falling as area rises. In every case the quote is written and given before work starts, and it does not change unless you add scope. We do not run bait pricing, we do not quote a low per-room rate and find surcharges once we are inside, and we do not sell add-ons at the door. If a job turns out to be bigger than described on the phone, we tell you the revised number before starting and you are free to decline.
Where we work
All eight services run across the same service area — Hicksville, Jericho, Plainview, Bethpage, Levittown, Westbury, Syosset, Woodbury, Old Bethpage, Farmingdale, East Meadow and Mineola. Start from the Hicksville carpet cleaning homepage or go straight to the town you are in.
What we will decline
We turn work down. We do not treat bed bugs, we do not do mold remediation, we do not clean natural stone we have not identified, and we do not take on rug repairs that need a specialist re-weaver when we can refer you to one. We also decline jobs where cleaning will not achieve what the customer is expecting — an abraded carpet, a rug with dye already stripped by urine, a sofa with a fabric that will not survive the process. Turning those down costs us a job and saves you money, which is the correct trade.
